About us – PJ Sweeps
PJ Sweeps is managed by Phillip Joiner. We have been working within the chimney sweeping business since 2005, and are qualified with the National Association of Chimney sweeps (NACS).
We are able to work with a multitude of chimneys, from log burners, open fires, solid fuel ranges (such as Aga’s and Rayburns) to inglenooks in large stately homes. Other appliances such as oil/gas which require a flue liner are also able to be serviced and maintained. We are able to chimney sweep and service Kent and especially the Canterbury, Ashford and Maidstone regions.
Solid Fuel Servicing
Servicing of solid fuel appliances and fireplaces covers new fire bricks, ropes, grates and if parts are required. I can source most parts for the majority of the stoves on the market.
Chimney Cowls
We carry the right equipment and ladders/steps enabling us to fit the wide range of different cowls available such as:
- Chimney cowls to cap off unused flues
- Cowls to stop birds entering the chimney
- Cowls to help increase draw and reduce downdraught.
- Cowls and chimney pots, repair flaunching/pointing.
CCTV
A useful tool in our armoury is a CCTV camera system. With this we send a camera up the flue so that we are able to find out the condition of the flue brickwork or liner. This is capable of recording to a SD card, a copy of which can be supplied to the customer.
